How Is Detailing Different Than a Car Wash?

Unlike a regular car wash that primarily focuses on the exterior and might use automated machines, mobile detailing is a comprehensive, hand-done process. It covers both the interior and exterior of the vehicle, ensuring deep cleaning, restoration, and protection.

*Even touchless car washes can scratch or damage your vehicle

How Long Does a Detail Take?

The duration depends on the package selected, the condition of the vehicle, & size of the vehicle. On average, a interior/exterior only detailing service can take 1-2 hours, while a full, comprehensive detailing might between 2-4 hours.

What Products Do You Use?

We use professional-grade, eco-friendly products that are safe for both your vehicle and the environment. Our products are designed to provide the best results without causing harm or leaving harmful residues.

How Do I Schedule?

What is a Ceramic Coating?

Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that chemically bonds with your vehicle's factory paint, creating a permanent layer of protection. Unlike wax or sealants that sit on top of the paint and wear off in weeks, ceramic coating forms a semi-permanent bond with the clear coat that can last for years.

The coating creates a hard, hydrophobic (water-repelling) surface that protects your paint from environmental contaminants, UV damage, chemical etching, and minor scratches. It also makes your vehicle significantly easier to clean and maintain.

Why Do I Need a Ceramic Coating in Illinois?

Illinois climate is harsh on vehicle paint, making ceramic coating especially valuable:

Winter Challenges:

- Road salt and de-icing chemicals cause corrosion and paint damage

- Freeze-thaw cycles accelerate paint deterioration

- Slush and road grime constantly bombard your vehicle

Summer & Year-Round Issues:

- Intense UV exposure fades and oxidizes unprotected paint

- Bird droppings and tree sap (highly acidic) etch into clear coat

- Bug splatter bonds to paint and becomes difficult to remove

- Pollen and industrial fallout contaminate the paint surface

- Frequent rain causes water spots and mineral deposits

What is a Paint Correction?

Paint correction is a multi-step process that removes imperfections from your vehicle's clear coat and paint surface through machine polishing. It's not a coating or sealant—it's the actual restoration of the paint itself.

During paint correction, we use specialized polishing machines, pads, and compounds to carefully remove a microscopic layer of clear coat. This eliminates or significantly reduces surface defects like:

- Swirl marks and spider webbing (often caused by automatic car washes)

- Fine scratches and scuffs

- Water spots and etching

- Oxidation and dullness

- Buffer trails from improper detailing

- Holograms and marring

The result is a mirror-like finish that restores your paint to like-new condition—or often better than new, since even factory paint can have imperfections.

Do I Need a Paint Correction Before Ceramic Coating?

Yes, in most cases. Here's why:

Ceramic coating doesn't hide or fix paint imperfections—it locks them in. If your paint has swirls, scratches, or oxidation, the ceramic coating will seal over those defects, making them permanent and much harder to correct later.

Paint correction is performed before ceramic coating to ensure you're protecting a flawless surface. This maximizes the depth, gloss, and clarity of your finish, allowing the ceramic coating to perform at its best.

Think of it this way: you wouldn't seal a floor with scratches and dirt on it. Paint correction ensures your vehicle looks its absolute best before we add years of protection on top.

How Long Does a Ceramic Coating Take To Install?

The installation time for ceramic coating depends on your vehicle's condition and the level of paint correction needed.

Typical Timeline:

Prep and wash: 2-3 hours

Paint correction (if needed): 4-8 hours for single-step, 8-16 hours for multi-step

Ceramic coating application: 2-4 hours

Curing time: 24-48 hours before water exposure

Total Process: Most ceramic coating jobs take 1-2 days from start to finish

Can Ceramic Coating Be Applied To Wheels/Glass/Trim?

Yes! Ceramic coating isn't just for paint it can protect nearly every exterior surface of your vehicle:

Wheels: Ceramic coating on wheels makes brake dust and road grime much easier to clean. Instead of scrubbing for 20 minutes, contaminants rinse off with minimal effort.

Glass: Coating your windshield and windows creates a hydrophobic effect similar to Rain-X, but longer-lasting. Water beads off at high speeds, improving visibility in rain.

Trim & Plastic: Black trim, rubber seals, and plastic components can be coated to prevent fading and restore a deep, rich appearance that lasts.

What Payment Methods Do You Accept?
